　　从《猩球崛起》（Rise of the Planet of the Apes）到《猩球黎明》（Dawn of the Planet of the Apes），现实中只过了三年，但电影里已过了10年。最近20世纪福克斯就同Vice Media公司携手，拍摄了三部短片来填补这十年的空白。
　　通过三位导演之手，观众得以见到西米安流感爆发的第一年、第五年以及第十年的三组人物和他们的故事。其中第一部《流感传播》（Spread of Simian Flu）由Isaiah Seret执导，讲述了一位母亲因感染病毒而被隔离，留下她丈夫和女儿独自照顾自己；
