Gay要怎麼跟童年的異男摯友, 找回與維持那種生命裡的重要關係, 以及面對城鄉差距與生存議題呢? 我覺得挺自然真誠的, 但又有點不知道義大利人在想什麼/ 不過有那種男女混浴三溫暖有點嚇到我/ 台譯: 他和他的心公路跟之前那部他和他的心旅程也太像可以不要再這樣了好嗎

童年好友不期而至的出现让两个人不得不在这趟公路旅程中去处理曾经留下的旧矛盾和现在发现的新冲突。但电影并没有解释矛盾的缘由，也没有完整展示如何化解，而是云里雾里地让两人终归于好。
