　　赫拉尔多在孤山上等待失踪儿子的归来。他在荒野之中发现一具年轻人的尸体，带回了家当作了自己儿子的尸体，以此来实现与儿子的和解，并给他取了名字，举行了一场葬礼。

　　帕兹和西蒙是一对夫妇，他们与西蒙的女儿生活在一个小镇上。西蒙是一支女子足球队的教练。一个偶然的机会，西蒙的女儿在踢球时发现有人正在进行宗教仪式。她走近并拿走了一个器物，然而不久之后，女儿神秘失踪了。西蒙和帕兹非常担心女儿的安危，他们四处打听消息，而西蒙尤为焦急。为了找到女儿，帕兹一方面为她祈祷，一方面寻求灵媒的协助。通过与西蒙的接触，灵媒得以看到一些景象：一个男人被两个人杀害，小女孩藏在床底下，倒立的十字架，红色窗帘覆盖在尸体上。
