　　久远的冰河时代，为了松果惹出无数麻烦的松鼠Scrat，这次将提升破坏力重装归来。他一如既往试图将松果嵌入冰原上，谁知竟不慎掉入冰窟窿里。冰层下面是空旷的洞穴，坚冰无法被砸出缺口。Scrat将松果插入附近的雪里，奇怪的事发生了，坚果发出奇怪的光芒，他脚下的大地也剧烈抖动起来。原来这是一家冰封不知多少个世纪的飞碟，恰巧通过松果启动了。盲打误撞，Scrat驾驶着飞碟一飞冲天，甚至以极快的速度脱离了地球引力的束缚。飞碟最先撞到月亮，导致原本聚成一堆的几大行星跟着被撞散。
　　折腾了地球版块和时空后，Scrat终于把他的欠爪伸向茫茫宇宙……
