　　伊莎贝尔·于佩斯饰演的安娜，一家四口从城市逃难到乡下，发觉自己的村屋给人占去。争执中丈夫被杀，安娜带着子女流离失所，途中儿子还给一流浪少年扣留。后来到了一个火车站，很多人在苦候，望火车把他们带到安乐郷。安娜听说有一班宗教义士，奉献自己以拯救人类，连她儿子也甘愿受祭。人在极端环境里不见得只剩下狼性。汉尼卡的风格有份严峻之美，正为杜绝滥情，从人之不仁中发现希望。
