　　黎生是养老院的一名护工，单纯善良、任劳任怨，他天生失聪，从小被父母遗弃，在孤儿院长大，一心想要找到妈妈。老周是一个退伍老兵，性格孤僻古怪，他在老伴去世后中风偏瘫，被子女安置在一个条件简陋的养老院，老周和子女之间关系疏远淡漠，老周认为子女对他漠不关心，只惦记着他的财产。黎生对老周的照顾尽心尽责，逐渐融化了老周冰冷的内心，而孤独的黎生也找到了情感慰藉，两人逐渐情同父子，想要重新组建一个家。就在黎生和老周计划搬离养老院、开始新生活的时候，黎生不慎将老周烫死，老周子女上门勒索。黎生意外发现老周在遗嘱里把财产全部给了他，他再也无法承受一切，从楼顶一跃而下。
