　　戈文丹·阿拉文旦是印度“平行电影运动”里的异类大师，漫画师出道的他以不走寻常路的姿态闯入电影界，《妖怪人》是他的代表作之一，讲述魔术师在乡村把孩子变成动物又变回人类，但却遗漏了一个没变回人身的孩子的故事。影片以浓烈的色彩渲染印度农村传统民俗，在东方神秘主义氛围中，展现一个带有童趣的奇幻故事。虽然阿拉文旦作品的原始底片均已告遗失，但马丁·斯科塞斯电影基金会“世界电影项目”仍决定联手博洛尼亚电影修复所，对影片现存的拷贝进行数字化抢救，经过4K扫描修复的《妖怪人》于2021年7月意大利博洛尼亚探佚电影节全球首映。
