心地善良的妖女碰上控制狂婆婆，两次都只能被玩得团团转。芭芭拉适合演所有的小镇姑娘，尤其是因为长得漂亮常被男人搭讪、毫不留情地反击的类型。她在感化院洗衣时素面朝天的脸，有种不加修饰的倔强的美丽，摇身一变百老汇女郎时又婀娜多姿得很。其实她身上总是有种穷人家的硬直，但饰演这种可爱小妖女总是说不出的妩媚。

65分钟删减版，不知道完整版有什么不谐内容，而让本片成为禁片，就目前的故事来看只是一个跨越阶级的狗血爱情片。相同故事模版下，《闲花泪》的处理就动人很多，这部看到结尾火都起来。
