　　在Carlos Diegues是巴西著名导演，虽然他并不属于新电影运动，而且早期的作品大多被60年代到70年代中期所产生的新电影运动所掩盖，但在新电影运动的末期他的作品终于得到了更多人的关注，1976年他的《夏卡》为他获得了3项巴西国家电影奖，而79年这部幽默的喜剧片正是他最好的作品，影片展现了巴西各地的美丽景色和人们的热情疯狂，是一部经典的公路片，讲一群吉普赛歌手沿着亚马逊公路穿越巴西，前去参加一场演出。1980年嘎纳国际电影节最佳导演奖提名。

　　影片以半纪录片的形式，记载了巴西的风土人情和社会变迁。摄制组沿着剧中的路线，长途跋涉九千英里，在叙事方面表现出某种随意的姿态。影片有其纯朴的魅力，但整体水准参差不齐，有点像粉饰太平的明信片。
